Ingredients:
Mutton- 1kg
Coriander Leaves- 1 big bunch
Mint -5 to 6 leaves
Green Chilli- 3 or more
Garlic- 4 flakes
Ginger- a small pc
Onion- 1 med size
Cumin Seeds & Turmeric powder- ½ tspn each
Cinnamon- 2pcs
Cloves- 4pcs
Grind above all (except mutton)and make a fine paste and set aside
Yogurt- ½ cup or more
Tomato- 1 med size finely chopped
Onion- ½ thinly sliced
Oil- 2 Tbspn
Ghee- 1Tbpsn
Sugar- 1Tspn
Salt- To taste
Method:
In a heavy bottom vessel, add ghee & oil and fry onions and when it turns brownish, add the green masala paste and tomatoes. Cook till oil separates. Add mutton (you may pressure cook it separately) and let mix well w/masala. Add 2 cups of water and let it cook. When the meat is tender, add yogurt, mix well and then add salt and sugar.
You may shallow fry potatoes(cut into round slices) and add them to this dish.
PS: We tried w/Lebanese bread as seen in the pic.
