BLACK POMFRET CURRY




Ingredients for the Masala:

1 big onion
3 flakes garlic
2 Tbspn coconut grated
6 Red long chilis
2 Red short chilis
2 Tspn Coriander seeds
½ Tspn Jeera
7-8 pepper corns
½ Tspn Fenugreek seeds
½ Tspn Turmeric powder
Lemon size(small) tamarind
1 Tbspn Vinegar
Grind all the above w/vinegar and sufficient water to a fine paste and set aside

Ingredients:

Pomfret- 1 med size
1 Tbspn coconut oil
Salt to taste
1 Green chili slit
Small pc of Ginger chopped

Method:
Heat oil in a vessel, pour the masala and fry for 1 to 2 mnts. Rinse the blender with little water used to grind the masala and pour this into the vessel.
Keep the gravy thicker. Add salt to taste, green chili & ginger.
Let the gravy boil for another minute or two. Add the fish and cook till it is done
